Malvern, AR is home to Seguin Moreau Arkansas.
A French company since 1838 with cooperages in France and a cooperage in Napa since 1994, Seguin Moreau was proud to establish its presence in Hot Springs County under its Ateliers workshop division.
Since 2019, this local stave mill has sourced and purchased premium American oak (Quercus alba) logs for barrel staves. Our experienced purchasing team buys white oak logs for the wine and spirits industries.
The work done in forests, sawmill, stave-mill, and in seasoning parks is central to Seguin Moreau’s cooperage business.
All wood sites in France and the USA are highlighted for their artisanal know- how and craftsmanship under the “Les Ateliers” name and logo.

I graduated with a BS degree in Forestry from the U of A Monticello in 1996. I'm a registered forester in the state of Arkansas. I've done pretty much anything and everything that pertains to forestry in my 27 years as a professional forester. My home is in Fordyce, Arkansas where I grew up, and when I'm not sourcing white oak logs I enjoy my family, chasing grandkids, hunting, fishing, and working on classic cars. For me, forestry and the outdoors are a way of life. I can't imagine doing anything else.

Grew up in Northeast Arkansas before attending forestry school in Monticello. A 1998 graduate of UAM and a registered forester in Arkansas. I have been in timber procurement for 25 years.
I have been with Seguin Moreau for four years. This is definitely the most interesting job I’ve ever had. We require a very specific log to make our barrels and I enjoy the challenge of finding high quality white oak.
Log Buying: If you have white oak logs for sale, please contact our purchasing team to sell us your premium quality white oak.
